Mathematica Policy Research Study
Sean Corcoran, one of our Principal Investigators, recently collaborated with Mathematica Policy Research on a new study, The Impact of Democracy Prep on Civic Participation, released today.
The study found that students admitted via random lottery admission to a Democracy Prep school were 16 percentage points more likely to be registered to vote upon graduation and 12 percentage points more likely to vote in a presidential election.
This work, co-authored with Brian Gill, Emilyn Whitesell, Charles Tilley, Liz Potamites, and Mariel Ficucane, builds on Sean's previous work with Democracy Prep Public Schools.
